'Resident Evil: Retribution'
(Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Michelle Rodriguez, Kevin Durand, et al / R / 113 mins)
Overview: Awakening in a top-secret Umbrella facility as the T-virus threatens to wipe out the last remnants of humanity, Alice (Milla Jovovich) ventures on a quest to uncover the truth about her mysterious past and seek out the source of the apocalyptic plague. The deeper Alice ventures into the complex, the more she begins to learn about her origins.
Verdict: I'm a big fan of the Resident Evil series. However, I was totally disappointed with this latest installment. I did like the fight choreography though. Milla, of course, was sensational as well as the other big name actors. Everyone else was doing B-movie acting or worse. Who wrote this dialogue? Fire them immediately please!
Also, as an intelligent person, I questioned most of the situations because they were kind of silly. Example: Why would the team need a computer program or GPS to figure out how to escape to the back of the store? How did Alice suddenly know sign language to talk to her clone-child? I sincerely believe they only made this movie as a precursor to a video game, sorry.
