'American Pie 3: American Wedding'
(Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan / R / 104 mins / Universal)

Overview: The third installment of this teen comedy series finds the group of guys reuniting for the quickie wedding of Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan). They have to get married fast, because Jim's grandmother is ill and wants to see him walk down the aisle. Naturally, Stifler (Seann William Scott) is in charge of planning the debauchery-filled bachelor party, but he finds himself competing with Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) for the affections of Michelle's hot sister, Cadence (January Jones).

Verdict: Although 'American Pie 3' has a sweetness that is impossible to discount, and it is often very funny, by now the pie is stale and the whole thing is one big fat geek wedding fiasco! A groin-numbing onslaught of sexual-humiliation and emission-ingestion gags, the sequel to the sequel actually comes perilously close to being sadistic rather than silly! Spotty and uneven, for the most part the thrill is gone for the gang and the 'American Pie' creators should pull this train into the station before it's too late!
