'Finding Nemo'
(Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Willem Dafoe, Ellen DeGeneres / G / 74 mins / Walt Disney)
Overview: This film from Pixar ('Monsters, Inc.') is the story of Nemo (Alexander Gould), a curious young clownfish who has been taken from his home in Australia's Great Barrier Reef and winds up in the office fish tank of a dentist in Sydney. It's up to his shy father, Marlin (Albert Brooks), and Marlin's friend Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) to find him.
Verdict: 'Finding Nemo' is a dazzling, computer-animated fish tale with a funny, touching script and wonderful voice performances that make it an unqualified treat for all ages! I could end the review right there, but I have more to say on this wonderful, wonderful movie. High on the movie's list of accomplishments is its creation of an undersea wonderland whose opalescent colors and shifting light reflect the enchanted aura of dreamy aquatic photography. A never-ending stream of action and humor, 'Finding Nemo' is easily the best family film to-date of 2003!
