'The Matrix Reloaded'
(Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Ann Moss / R / 123 mins / Warner Bros.)

Overview: Scenarios abound for the unfolding of the much-anticipated Matrix sequels, but as of this point, nothing has been confirmed. Plots mentioned include a visit to the underground haven of Zion, the revelation that Trinity is an agent, the introduction of a character more powerful than Neo, and the discovery of a Matrix within a Matrix.

Verdict: As inane (or should that read INSANE?!) as the bulk of the storyline is, make no mistake: This is one kick-ass flick! (Literally most of the time!!) Is it as good as 'The Matrix?' No, but it does offer hope that the final installment will be a knockout. Sexier, or at least sweatier, than its precursor, 'The Matrix: Reloaded' is exhilarating fun, just never really hits the heights of its ultra-cool, ultra-smooth, groundbreaking big brother! But, even though 'Reloaded' is a pure, computer-generated spectacle; diverting in the moment but ultimately disposable, it remains insanely pretentious and dazzling from all angles!! Do not miss this film, even if it's just to say that you were there at the time!!
