'3rd Annual Charity Event' - Post Reaction! '3rd Annual Charity Event' - Post Reaction!

Yes, once again it was that time of year where www.ExclusiveMagazine.com threw a huge Charity Event in aid of The Children's Hospital of Michigan, The Alzheimer's Association of Michigan, and both the Food Banks of Gleaners and Oakland County.

On Monday, Dec. 20th, 2004 Exclusive Magazine held it's '3rd Annual Charity Event' at Hillside Furniture in Bloomfield Hills. Open to the entire Exclusive Magazine readership and the general public at large, the weather may well have tried it's snowy best to dampen the turnout, but thankfully didn't succeed!

At 6.00pm, the Hillside Furniture doors opened and upon the arrival of both Bill Laimbeer and Barb Farris @ 7.00pm, our Charity Event was well and truly under way!

We had many, many people come out and join us that night ... including our Celebrities for the event, Ex-Detroit Piston "Bad Boy" Bill Laimbeer and current WNBA Detroit Shock forward, Barb Farris! Spending about two hours there signing autographs and chatting with their fans, both Bill and Barb enabled us to garner over 2,000lbs of canned goods and about 250 brand new toys for the Children's Hospital of Michigan.

Luckily for us, we also heard some wonderful music from young rising star Crystal Lynn as she sang songs from both her albums - not to mention some classic Christmas tunes to get the waiting crowd in the festive mood! Crystal, from your very own Lake Orion, pleased everyone with her mix of original music and Christmas favorites - not to mention also debuting some of her very own original Christmas songs also!

To find out more information on Crystal Lynn go to www.CrystalLynnMusic.com.

Also on the night we held a Silent Auction for various signed NBA and Entertainment items which were snapped up come the end by some lucky, and extremely thankful attendees! However, the surprise of the night was that our Eminem-signed Microphone broke it's "hidden" reserve bid in one foul swoop when Mr. Gregory Davis bid $910 ... and come the end of the night had walked away with his prize! Other donations that were sold on the night included a Pistons basketball (signed by Bill Laimbeer), a 'Ladder 49' Poster (signed by its cast, including John Travolta!), and CDs signed by Eminem, Carly Simon, Britney Spears and more! Due to people's charitable donations we managed to raise over $1,400 on the night.

And then, for all those lucky Exclusive Magazine readers that correctly answered the three questions posed to them via email about Bill Laimbeer, the VIP Room (complete with complimentary food donated to our evening by those wonderful people at Rio Wraps!) was made available for them all ... so that they could not only enjoy the food, but get to meet both Bill and Barb one-on-one before the rush outside!

So, thank you ALL again for making our 'Exclusive Magazine 3rd Annual Charity Event' the fantastic bash that it was and for enabling the lesser fortunate people in the community to eat well over this Holiday period ... and for bringing a smile to the children's faces that find themselves in Hospital as the snow falls.

Take care, one and all, and thank you again for ALL your support to both www.ExclusiveMagazine.com and our charities, and we hope that each and every one of you had a wonderful (and safe!) Holiday period!
Sincerely,

Russell A. Trunk
