Born form History International, The Naked Archaeologist with Simcha Jacobovici explores history in a world scope, digging deep into the past while trotting the globe.

The Show:

Why is it so bad to be called a Philistine? Was Jezebel really that sexy? And where do you stop for a good falafel when you're on your way to find the real Mount Sinai? Simcha Jacobovici attacks questions like these in his inimitable dancing, rapping, irreverent style on his quest to show biblical history in a way its never been shown before.

The two-time Emmy Award winner stars in the documentary series THE NAKED ARCHAEOLOGIST, airing Wednesdays at 8pm on History International, the domestic network from The History Channel and AETN that provides an international perspective on history.

The Archaeologist:

Simcha Jacobovicis numerous awards include a Gold Medal from the International Documentary Festival of Nyon, a certificate of Special Merit from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles, a Genie Award, three U.S. Cable Ace Awards, two Gemini Awards, an Alfred I. Dupont-Columbia University Award, a British Broadcast Award and two U.S. Emmy Awards for "Outstanding Investigative Journalism". In 2007, he won the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Overseas Press Club of America.
