Adam Ant - 'Cool Zombie' Listening Clip!
With its pop/rock structure, but a bluesy, swampy feeling and hints of a southern drawl, I guarantee that you’ve never heard pop icon and Grammy-nommer Adam Ant sound like this: New Track 'Cool Zombie'.
'Cool Zombie' is the debut track from his first album in 17 years called Adam Ant is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner’s Daughter (album releases January 22nd, 2013 with North American tour dates announcing soon).
Even more interesting is the 'Cool Zombie' backstory!
Adam lived in Los Angeles for a while to pursue film roles, but most people don’t know that he later lived in the tiny town of Dayton, Tennessee – almost by accident. Adam and his girlfriend were on their way to Las Vegas to get married. But they made a detour, bought a house, started a family and opened a new chapter in life.
"I lived in Tennessee for a couple of years,” Adam explained. “My daughter, Lilly Caitlin, was born there. I decided that I was going to be like a house husband, so I was with her and changing nappies. That's the hardest work I've ever done, the child-rearing thing. But as Lily got older, I started to think about music. I missed it - the creative process and the live side of it."
'Cool Zombie' is one of 17 songs on the new album that creates a musical autobiography about things that have happened in Adam’s life and things that interest him.
Adam and his band, The Good, The Mad & The Lovely Posse, are currently doing a UK and European tour, but watch for North American dates to be announced soon.
