When Andrew "Large" Largeman (Zach Braff) returns to his hometown for his mother's funeral, he reconnects with old friends and - since he's gone off his depression medication - himself. By a twist of fate, Large meets Sam (Natalie Portman), a girl who is everything he isn't. Her warmth and fearless give Large the courage to open his heart to the joy and pain of the infinite abyss that is life.
'GARDEN STATE' was directed and written by Zach Braff (TV's 'SCRUBS'), who stars along side Portman, Peter Sarsgaard and Ian Holm. The movie comes out in LA and NY on July 28 and opens in wide release on August 6.
