'It's Christmas Tool-Time Once Again'!
Tim Allen, who has made a living playing Santa Claus in two movies for Disney, has decided that next year he will be 'Skipping Christmas'. In the adaptation of the popular John Grisham novel, Allen will play a man who decides to forego Christmas so that he and his wife can afford a cruise vacation. When his daughter decides at the last minute to come home for the holidays, the couple must scramble to pull Christmas together in time. The film will reteam Allen with his 'The Santa Clause' director Joe Roth. The script will be adapted by Chris Columbus who recently directed the first two 'Harry Potter' films and worked with Roth on the first two 'Home Alone' movies. 'Skipping Christmas' will begin filming in April for a 2004 holiday release.
