‘Exclusive Magazine’s Holiday Get Together’ & Final Charity Push ‘02
(Uptown Palladium 12, Birmingham - Tuesday, December 17th, 2002)
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Russ Trunk here, Director & Editor in Chief of Exclusive Magazine just thanking all you wonderful, kind-hearted, and generous readers for all the fantastic charitable Canned Goods donations you have made over the past few months via us. Your fantastic magnanimity has provided our two charity organizations with close to 2000 pounds of Canned Goods for this holiday season and has also shown us the huge hearts that you guys possess.
As you are all well aware by now, we have been collecting Canned Goods for both the Gleaners Food Bank and Oakland County Food Banks. And every one of you that was there to help us celebrate the final push (not to mention enjoy our ‘Holiday Get Together’) will have met and therein subsequently heard how grateful the Vice-President of Gleaners, Mr. John Kastler really was. (www.gcfb.org)
We all have made a huge difference to their campaign and every one here at the magazine is very proud and happy to know each and every one of you loyal readers.
As aforementioned, we had a lot of sponsors that night and we would also like to thank the following food providers for their generosity: ‘Rio Wraps,’ ‘Ralph’s Deli’ and the ‘Bloomfield Deli’ all from Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham’s very own ‘Kroger’ for their splendid assortment of cookies.
But the thanx don’t stop there as the whole occasion couldn’t have been as much of a success as it truly was without the Managers and staff of the Uptown Palladium 12 itself providing – FREE OF CHARGE – their luxurious ‘Premiere Room’ upstairs on the 3rd floor. Thank you both Dave Pratt (General Manager) and Todd Cochran (Vice-President).
And how could we ever forget to thank the always lovely, Ms. Anne Carlini (101 WRIF) from coming out and helping us celebrate the night. As you all know by now, Exclusive Magazine can also be found on Ms. Carlini's own personal web site and we couldn't be any happier to be there.
We had a lot of fun that night thanking you all by not only giving out movie merchandise for the amount of cans that each person brought in, but drawing prizes from our infamous red lottery box for one-and-all. We certainly got rid of a lot of merchandise that night, one way or another, and enabled not only our office cupboards to empty out but send home a lot of people happy !
So, in wrap up, everyone of the staff here at Exclusive Magazine wishes to thank each and every one of you for your kind Canned Goods donations over the past few months and for the many, many emails that we’ve since received complimenting us on what we originally set out to accomplish. We’re so glad that you enjoy the free movies and free movie merchandise, but that you get a better personal kick out of donating the cans in the first place ! We hope that between the two of us that we will be able to continue to do these charitable events many more times in the future.
“Happy Holidays, one and all”
