Win Dave Schulz's 'Connect' CD ... SIGNED!

The award-winning singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Dave Schulz is stepping back into the music spotlight– this time as a solo artist with his debut album, 'Connect'. Formerly a touring/recording vocalist and keyboardist for superstars such as Goo Goo Dolls, Bo Diddley, English Beat, Fuel, Berlin and The Rembrandts, Dave will rock the stage at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 25 at 8 p.m.

“Not too sound too over the top new agey,” Schulz says, “but a lot of wheels of karma happened to make this record possible. I was very humbled that these great musicians played on my album even though I had no label and hardly any money. One of the album’s other producers, Robi Banerji, introduced me to Daniel Lanois, who liked my songs and was very gracious about contributing.

This was a huge validation for me as an artist because he was a major influence on my development as a songwriter. Another example of this ‘wheel’ was my opportunity to play on Devo co-founder Jerry Casale’s solo album, Jihad Jerry and the Evildoers. The whole reason I started to play keyboards when I was thirteen was because of my obsession with Devo!

Slated to kick off later this fall, Dave’s first tour as a solo artist will include shows in cities on the west coast such as San Francisco, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego and Santa Barbara.

If you would like to win a SIGNED copy of this new CD, just answer this easy question: In the late 90s, when he was one of Buffalo’s most popular young keyboardists, Schulz got a call from his old friend, bassist Robby Takac from his hometown heroes the Goo Goo Dolls, who asked him to join them on their famed tour of that timeframe. But, what was the name of the tour, based off the same name as their CD out at that time?!

Send us your answers and if you're correct you'll be in the running to win one of these new CDs! Just send us an e:mail here before December 15th with your answer and the subject title CONTEST: DAVE SCHULZ CDs to: exclusivemagazine@flash.net
