This April, Angelina Ballerina takes center stage in the DVD premiere of 'Angelina Ballerina: Angelina Follows Her Dreams,' from HIT Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Available on April 3, 2007, the title features episodes from the popular television series that airs on PBS KIDS and PBS KIDS Sprout, in which Angelina pirouettes past obstacles and leaps through adventures while pursuing her dream of becoming a prima ballerina.

This year marks an exciting time for the little mousling! For the fifth consecutive year, Angelina Ballerina is the National Children’s Spokescharacter for National Dance Week 2007 (April 20 – 29). Through the partnership, National Dance Week will be distributing posters to libraries nationwide. HIT Entertainment through their partnership with Penguin will distribute posters, bookmarks and signage featuring Angelina Ballerina to specialty bookstores nationwide.

Also during April, Angelina will join author Katharine Holabird and her illustrator on a multi-city book tour where aspiring ballerinas can hear book readings by Katharine, watch illustrations being drawn and meet Angelina Ballerina. In addition, Penguin Young Readers Group will release 15 new Angelina Ballerina books this year.

Angelina Ballerina has also extended her partnership with American Ballet Theatre (ABT) and its ABTKIDS program in an effort to introduce children and families to ballet and inspire a love of the performing arts. As part of the partnership, Angelina will make special appearances at ABT family performances in Detroit, Miami, New York City and Orange County, CA.
