Exclusive Magazine wants to bend you ear towards something very interesting and therein very different ... a band called RockdotRock, the very first adverband!

RockdotRock was formed in late Summer 2006 by Symantec Corporation as an alternative to broadcast advertising. The band was selected from a pool of 20 competing acts who were ready to lend their chops to the cause of internet freedom.

As the world's first adverband, their goal is to create awareness for their sponsor through the majesty of rock n' roll.

As Sasha the lead singer puts it, “Being adopted as Symantec's official BOR (band of record) is not something I'd ever considered, but now that it's happening, I'm seeing a lot of possibilities. I mean, what is rock and roll anyway but an advertisement for the rock and roll lifestyle? So why can't it be an advertisement for software ... or anything for that matter? It's the 21st century already. I know what I want and I don't have time for your sales pitch. Just give me some rock n' roll.”
