'Woman On The Edge'
(Jeffrey Patterson, Rumer Willis, et al / DVD / NR / 2020 / ITN - Mill Creek Entertainment)
Overview: Following the suicide of her sister, an investigative journalist discovers that it may be linked to a number of recent murders that are set up to look like suicides.
DVD Verdict: Rumer Willis plays dual roles here in this new movie and I have to say, as much as I knew this was a B-movie going in, due to Willis' performances, 'Woman On The Edge' turned out to be quite the doozy of a movie!
Susan Waterman (Willis) is an investigative reporter whose sister (Willis) jumped off a roof right in front of her (and a bunch of gathered others) one fateful night.
But, as Susan digs deeper, she discovers that a series of killings are taking place all around her in much the same vein, all of which are being made to look like suicides or overdoses.
Susan thinks that television medic Dr. Mitch (Patterson) is being framed as a suspect and that another mysterious man - who has been dating the dead women and showing up at their crime scenes - might have killed them; and is carrying out his deranged fantasies!
Again, it's a definite B-movie, but Willis tries her hardest to get it to rise and she, for my money, succeeds. The story line is interesting, and with a nice twist too, there's nothing not to like here within this B-movie genre, trust me. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
'Woman On The Edge' (DVD) is out March 3rd, 2020 via Mill Creek Entertainment.
