'Restricted Area'
(Randy Wayne, Ross Britz, Shawn C. Phillips, Phillip Andre Botello, et al / DVD / R / (2019) 2020 / Mill Creek Entertainment)

Overview: Four blue-collar friends, recently laid off from the steel mill, take one last camping trip into the wilderness when they discover a backwoods cult with a cataclysmic agenda and must fight to survive.

DVD: Featuring an original score from Michael Levinson and bands Agent 51 and The Megas, 'Restricted Area' has a lot going for it -- and that's even before we discuss the cast, the script and the acting!

Featuring a cast that knows they're in a C-movie and yet want to act their hearts out, I personally loved watching a gruesome movie such as this! One that manages to show all the blood and gore that was obviously an on-set character requirement!

A good set up complete with a dangerously OTT gooey and bloody center, culminating in a rather thrilling ending, 'Restricted Area' is one of those horror/thriller/slasher movies that has you not leaving the sofa throughout its duration -- just in case you miss something wickedly bloody brilliant! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
