'Ready Jet Go! One Small Step'
(DVD / G / 2019 / PBS Kids)

Overview: In 'Ready Jet Go! One Small Step' we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing!

When Jet reveals he's built a brand-new super saucer, the friends head to the moon to test it out!

But after a rough landing, Jet and Sunspot go missing and it's up to the rest of the gang to find them!

DVD Verdict: 'Ready Jet Go!: One Small Step' is a lovely gently animated TV special commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1969 moon landing.

As Jet and his friends travel to and explore the moon, they share their knowledge of the event along with photographs and video clips of space travel history with viewers.

Among the characters, Sydney stands out as a problem solver with technical skill and a can-do attitude, and the show ends with another female - an astronomer - who teaches viewers more about how astronauts live and work in space.

This fun story incorporates music, humor, and characters popular with preschoolers to celebrate the lunar landing.

As you can well imagine, 'One Small Step' demonstrates a clear intent to give kids a working knowledge of real aerospace history, and if this is preschoolers' first introduction to the concept, it's a great place to start!

Mainly because the characters incorporate actual photos and video footage from the past, the show is more adult-friendly than others might be, making it a contender for watch-together fare for parents and their preschoolers to celebrate this anniversary.

This fun and educational DVD will instantly be loved by your children. If not for the sometimes-silly characters, fun music and all the space-orientated adventures, but for the fact it truly explores space; and rightfully encourages children to go out and do the same!

This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the three (3) episodes of: One Small Step, Earth Mission to Moon and Mindy's Moon Bounce House.
