'Wild Faith' [DVD + Digital]
(Shane Hagedorn, Lauren LaStrada, DJ Perry, Melissa Anschutz, et al / DVD + Digital / NR / 2019 / Mill Creek Entertainment)

Overview: A Civil War veteran tries to make peace with his losses and start a new life despite the world resisting change around him.

DVD Verdict: Life was not easy in the 1800's and there are plenty of reasons to not want to bring certain aspects of life back then to the forefront, but 'Wild Faith' is brave enough and coherent enough to both capture the world and its many flaws as well as present it in a respectful manner.

The characters depicted are brought to life in a heartfelt way, with the actors and actresses performing top-tier emotion. I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of these great things come together.

This film has certain segments that reveal an important past for one of our characters and the way that these scenes are woven through the narrative is seamless and a joy to experience.

In closing, 'Wild Faith' has superb casting throughout, especially Lauren LaStrada and I've seen many faith-based films, but this one did not preach at all. Complete with an obviously high production value this is a wondrous story of courage, forgiveness and love. Highly recommended. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
