'Norm of the North: King Sized Adventure'
(Lisa Durupt, Vincent Tong, Jonathan Holmes, Lee Tockar, Michael Dobson, et al / Blu-ray + DVD + Digital / NR / 2019 / LGF)

Overview: An ancient Chinese artifact has been stolen by a villainous archaeologist named Dexter. With the help of his Lemming friends, Norm must keep his word and embark on a journey across the world to help recover the artifact for the people of China.

Blu-ray Verdict: Simply put, Norm is one big, lovable, adventurous bear! This is great fun for the whole family and it's even better the second time ... and the third and fourth!

Personally, and as a parent, I love the theme and message behind each of these films in the series that teaches kids about honesty and being environmentally friendly.

And so to the story in this latest installment of a truly delightful animated series. In 'Norm of the North: King Sized Adventure' Norm agrees to help his grandfather with his upcoming wedding.

Soon after, he meets Jin, an archeologist who is trying to keep a treasured Chinese antiquity out of the hands of a thief and bring it to Beijing in time for an important cultural event.

When JIn is injured, Norm takes on his mission. Having given his word to both Jin and his grandfather, Norm must find a way to recover the artifact, deliver it intact, and make sure his grandfather's wedding goes off as planned!

As always, the story is simple, but not dumbed down, which is vitally important for those young sponge-minds. Sure, ok it's not particularly educational, but it does introduce an earth science phenomenon and Chinese culture.

Yes, Norm (and his friendly Lemmings) are constantly in dangerous situations, but if you doubt he/they will ever escape unharmed and without a story to tell you've come to the wrong animated series, my friend.

In conclusion, 'Norm of the North: King Sized Adventure' is a fun animated family movie. It's not too overbearing, but still entertains the children and is palatable enough that adults can watch as well.

It may not be the 'Citizen Kane' of animated Polar Bear films or end up on a criterion collection, but it entertains and is enjoyable none the less. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.

The 'Norm of the North: King Sized Adventure' Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD and will be available ON June 11th, 2019 for the suggested retail price of $21.99 and $19.98, respectively.
