'Mi Corazón es Tuyo'
(Jorge Salinas, Silvia Navarro, Mayrín Villanueva, Adrian Uribe, René Casados, Carmen Salinas, et al / 3-Disc DVD / NR / 2015 / Cinedigm Entertainment)
Overview: Fernando Lascurain is a wealthy businessman and recent widower, attempting to raise his seven unruly children. He seeks the assistance of a new nanny. He hires and falls in love with Ana Leal, a struggling exotic dancer who tries to hide her double life. Although Ana lacks experience and a refined education, she quickly bonds with the Lascurain children.
DVD Verdict: Here in this well put together, and very entertaining new 3-Disc DVD Box-Set, 'Mi Corazón es Tuyo' ('My Heart Is Your'), just as Ana dreams of being a mother, her home is destroyed following an accident. So, of course, she must borrow money from her ruthless boss at "Chicago", the night club where she is secretly employed.
When Fernando simultaneously falls for Ana and Isabela, an economist and sophisticated woman who is trained by her mother to marry a millionaire, he must choose between both women. That is when this TV show really steps up into high, passionate, red hot gear!
'Mi Corazón es Tuyo' is definitely a great romantic comedy of a TV show, complete with a wonderful and talented group. Indeed, Jorge Salinas really shines as a romantic lead, Fernando Lascurain. Thankfully, for all us fans, they were able to leave behind the conventional, and boring novellas behind, and what we get is a show where all the principals and the children integrate evenly. Even the "bad guys" are played with a flourish not seen before in this type of show.
As an inner effect that I wasn't quite expecting, this is the kind of program we need more of, as we all need to laugh more; and definitely this show accomplishes all my expectations and more, in that respect now. I mean, generally, all the novellas concentrate on the bad things in the world, but 'Mi Corazón es Tuyo' delivers a different angle to the routine here. A world where you can laugh, think, and agree (or disagree) freely. The producers, directors, and actors should be proud of themselves, one and all. God Bless you all and thank you for bringing to us such an incredible, innovative TV show. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1:85.1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
