'Tomorrowland' [Blu-ray+DVD+DigitalHD]
(George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, et al / Blu-ray+DVD / PG / 2015 / Disney Entertainment)

Overview: 'Tomorrowland' is the story of a disillusioned genius inventor (Clooney) and a teenage science enthusiast (Robertson), who embark to an ambiguous dimension known as "Tomorrowland", where their actions directly affect the world and themselves.

Blu-ray Verdict: 'Tomorrowland' is a delightfully imaginative movie about a world within a world and how two curious, innovative young people find themselves saving them both. Young Frank is a clever inventor invited to this alternate universe. There, he has the opportunity to work and learn in an advanced world until he is unwittingly banished.

Thirty years later, Casey comes into the story. She, too, is a clever, inventive young person, who is invited to this other world. Unfortunately now the world doesn’t want recruits because it is about to end. Casey and adult Frank set about on an adventure to save the two worlds. There are gadgets galore, robots chasing them and fun twists that keep you engaged and enchanted. Did you know there is a hidden rocket in the Eiffel Tower? As keeping with the family theme, there is a happy ending and you learn a lesson on optimism and hope for the world.

George Clooney, not surprisingly, does an amazing job as the older Frank who is reluctant at first to help but soon rallies to the world’s aid. Hugh Laurie as the leader of the alternate universe is brilliantly stoical as Nix. And, finally Britt Robertson is charming as optimistic and ingenious Casey. Overall, the cast and along with the story are pleasant and entertaining.

'Tomorrowland' is a wonderfully nostalgic tale, returning you to Disney’s family movies of the past where innocence and hope were still alive. I was thoroughly entertained from the first minute to the last and highly recommend it to families with children of all ages. This is a Widescreen Presentation (2:40.1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of:
