DVD Verdict: In truth, my daughter and son BOTH loved this wonderful new DVD. What does that mean, I hear you cry! Well, to me it means that this new Sofia tale is great for young kids of all ages and genders.
Indeed, this new episode, 'Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy' was a HUGE amount of fun to watch along with them - even as an adult trying to focus on his business emails via his laptop! Also, in 'The Curse of Princess Ivy' you get to see three (3) more song-filled episodes - Princess Butterfly, The Emerald Key, and The Amulet of Avalor.
Did you actually know that Disney Junior's 'Sofia the First,' which follows the adventures of Disney's first little girl princess, Sofia, who is learning how to adjust to royal life after her mom marries the king, is the #1 TV series with Girls 2-5!
And so I have to say, nay URGE you as a mother or father of young kids to buy this DVD and sit back as Sofia spends her time entertaining your kids. Whether you've seen this new episode before, or never seen anything from Sofia in the past, you should!
In the main feature, 'The Curse of Princess Ivy,' Amber is cursed by the Amulet of Avalor when she does a bad deed. Rapunzel also makes an appearance, so watch out for that. In the first of the three shorter episodes, 'Princess Butterfly,' Amber cheats when making a costume for the All Hallows Eve costume ball. In 'The Emerald Key,' Sofia must determine the true owner of the mysterious emerald key. And in the final of the trio, 'The Amulet of Avalor,' Sofia's magical amulet is stolen.
All these episodes are really family friendly and ones that you can enjoy with your whole family over and over ... and over! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 and the packaging comes with a FREE color-changing Necklace inside!
