'Doc McStuffins: Cuddle Me Lambie'
(DVD / NR / 2015 / Disney Junior)

Overview: No one gives better cuddles than Doc's warm and fuzzy best friend! She's a princess and a ballerina, and she's always there for toys that need an extra helping of tender loving car. Just say three little words: "CUDDLE ME LAMBIE."

DVD Verdict: To be quite honest, I was over the moon when Disney finally created a program that I fully encouraged my children to watch. It was back around 2012 when this series first was announced as part of Disney Junior, and with no princesses, just a smart and imaginative girl who can be a positive role model at the fore, it instantly became a HUGE hit here in my house.

Indeed, I am a mom of four bright multi-racial children. I am also an early childhood special educator. My six year old daughter is on the autism spectrum, and she has talked about becoming a doctor since she was four years old. She has the lab coat and more and much like the character in the show, she pretends to "heal" her toys!

Join Doc and the whole gang here in 'Doc McStuffins: Cuddle Me Lambie' as they laugh, play and have a ball fixing boo-boos and discovering great ways to stay happy and healthy. Celebrate the power of true friendship as new, sparkly heart toy Val shows Lambie there's plenty of love to go around.

We also get to meet Donny and Alma's monster creation Charlie - who turns out to be very sweet and not so scary after all! Then, see how Lambie gets out of a super-sticky jam! Bursting with five song-filled episodes and cuddles galore, this "hug-stravaganza" is magical fun your little one will adore!

Considering the overwhelming amount of biased attention young girls in our culture receive, it is heartening to know that Disney is willing to scratch beneath the surface. The great majority of young girls of color are just as smart and imaginative as Doc McStuffins. Now my daughter and her friends can finally see themselves reflected back to them in a loving and respectful light. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with not only a FREE Lambie Hair Clip, but these five (5) episodes of:

1) My Huggy Valentine / Dusty Bear, 2) Awesome Guy's Awesome Arm / Lamb In A Jam, 3) Kirby And The King / Bubble Monkey, Blow Your Nose!, 4) A Day With Cuddles! / Collide-o-scope / 5) Mirror, Mirror On My Penguin / Hide And Eek!
