'Not Another Celebrity Movie'
(Joey Sagal, John Di Domenico, Dave Burleigh, et al / DVD / NR / 2014 / MVD Visual)

Overview: 'Not Another Celebrity Movie' tells the tale of Charlie Sheen getting the idea that Justin Bieber is his biological son, and recruiting famous friends like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Donald Trump to help him kidnap the Bieb! All done using celebrity look-alikes!!

DVD Verdict: A First Napoleon Production, which can sometimes be a crap shoot of a moniker to be saddled with, 'Not Another Celebrity Movie' is obviously trying to ride the wave of the series of "Teen Movie" craze, but forgot to acknowledge that all ended a decade ago now!

That said, it actually still manages to work! On a level that has to be simply sit-back-and-tune-out, 'Not Another Celebrity Movie' is a rip-off ... sorry, I mean "parody" of 'Oceans 11' and along with the look-alikes everywhere you turn, it has a comfortable, well-worn slippers on your feet kinda vibe to it.

Dave Burleigh as 'Charlie Sheen' hams it up just enough that together with the "work done to his face" he actually comes across - if you squint - as the real Charlie Sheen! That and the fact he wears those damn stupid bowling shorts of his from 'Two and a Half Men,' which immediately makes you think of Sheen, of course.

Cole Downing as 'Tom Cruise' is hilarious, Reed Thompson as 'Brad Pitt' is subtle in his acting, but plays him to a tee, and Joey Sagal as 'George Clooney' does much the same thing; but with a slightly more convincing vocal swagger. We even get 'Kayne West' (Baron Jay), who comes to Sheen in a moment of Prayer to God. Although, in truth, he looks more like P. Diddy!

John Di Domenico's 'Donald Trump' impression is the worst of the bunch though - all mouth, no acting trousers, as they say. Just too many teeth showing, too big a mouth, too OTT, in general. Maybe he was created in that vein, but it overshadows the movie, which in turn takes away from the silliness that should always prevail in movies of this ilk.

Overall, a fun storyline, a dedicated cast, and aside from a few celebrity look-alikes that look nothing like the celebrity they are portraying - yes, Chandler Rylko ('Ashton Kutcher'), Roy Matthew Gough ('Daniel Craig'), Natalie Reid ('Paris Hilton'), and J.T. Boyd as 'Usher,' I'm talking to all of you - 'Not Another Celebrity Movie' stands up to its title perfectly - and some! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
