Overview: After deciding to take her vows at a convent, Sister Sarah becomes enslaved and victimized by the drug-pushing predators within the church walls and, on the verge of death, receives a divine message – to seek revenge! Packing heat and shedding her habit, this sister of no mercy embarks on a relentless rampage against these unholy men of the cloth and their partners in crime, a vicious biker gang known as Los Muertos.

DVD Verdict: With a tagline such as 'This Sister Is One Bad Mother,' you know full well what kind of a movie you're in for! That said, in truth it's hard to understand this movie if you don't know what you're getting yourself in to! This isn't a serious movie and a few of the scenes aren't easy to watch. There are seriously anti-catholic elements at play, so please be aware of that ahead of time.

In short, you're either going to love this movie or completely hate it!

This is a throwback to sleazy seventies exploitation / revenge movies. It has a distinct Tarantino vibe, so if you liked Kill Bill or Grindhouse, this will be right up your alley. The acting is cheesy, and purposefully so. Each of the actors does a great job of overplaying their respective character. The bad guys are super evil, the victims are disgustingly pathetic, and the heroine is a badass. When watching this film, you get the impression that director Joseph Guzman created exactly what he set out to make.

If boobs, guns, head shots, nuns, church corruption and severed penises excite you, check this one out! As long as you remember this isn't a serious movie you'll love it. But, again, if you are Catholic, avoid it!

And, of course there are so many other things wrong with this movie too! I mean, it wouldn't be a perfect B-movie without some bad blemishes! Such as when Chavo visits Mother Magda, Father Carlito's dead body is breathing. Noticeably! And when Sister Sarah is shot on her left hip during gunfire between her and Father Carlito the wound mysteriously disappears in the next scene! There are quite a few other - like a car that drives without a key in the ignition - but that'll do it for now. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
