'Cowgirls 'N Angels 2: Dakota's Summer'
(Keith Carradine, Haley Ramm, Jade Pettyjohn, Emily Bett Rickards, et al / Blu ray / NR / 2014 / 20th Century Fox)

Overview: After she receives unexpected news about herself, a 17-year-old girl (Ramm) experiences an exciting, yet challenging life in and out of the rodeo circuit in this wonderful coming-of-age story.

Blu ray Verdict: I know you can expect to know this beforehand, either from having watched the first movie or simply understanding the title of this one, but 'Cowgirls n' Angels 2' is a rather uplifting family film for people of all ages to enjoy.

Now, don't worry if you have still yet to see the fist movie, but it wouldn't help to buy it or rent it beforehand anyway. That said, this might as well be a somewhat stand-alone movie anyway, so it's up to you.

In this second movie Dakota learns she's adopted and it sends her world into a downward spiral. She throws herself into her horses and winning the competitions. She tries to forget about everything else, but the past has a way of sneaking up on you no matter how much you try to avoid it. Ain't that the truth!

But, with the help of the people who love her, Dakota learns that real family doesn't really have anything to do with your blood. And so this wonderful, truly beautiful coming of age story is brought to us just in time for the sun of Spring. It's very well written, superbly acted and is just oh-so perfectly cast. Oh, and if you like horses then you're in for a treat as they are all beautiful to adore. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Feature of:
