'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season Five'
(Rob McElhenney, Danny DeVito, et al / 3-Disc DVD / NR / 2010 / 20th Century Fox)

Overview: Hey-oh! It’s time for another round of outrageousness as the irrepressible gang at Paddy’s Irish Pub returns—more rude, crude, dysfunctional, and downright hilarious than ever before in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” Season Five!

DVD Verdict: 'It's Always sunny in Philadelphia' is a hilarious show similar to 'Curb' or 'Arrested' with the dark humor and no laugh track, sometimes you actually have to think to get the jokes. This season was the funniest yet its awesome its like Seinfeld on crack they do outrageous this yet you still care about the characters for some reason its genius and a great show.

This season holds one of my favorite epsiodes in "The Gang Gives Frank An Intervention." This highlights Danny DeVito trying to bang his dead wife's sister as well as charlie's hilarious illiteracy!

However, this season also holds the worst episode in the show's five year span, I believe, in the episode entitled something like "The Great Recession." It should have been titled "The Gang Sells Out." The episode is basically only a promo for Dave & Busters ... very weak, guys on all levels. Please do NOT do this again!

Futher issues in this show are just jaw-dropping hilarous though. Charlie thinking he is an attorney, Dennis thinking he is God's gift to women, while maintaining a quasi-homosexual relationship with Mac, Frank pulling a gun at every corner and Dee just being Dee! Trust me, Sunny is a show that just makes life worth living.

This set is a must for anyone who enjoys this show with great extras and the episodes all have fantastic re-watch value. I'd even say they are funnier the second or third time you see them. This is a Widescreen Presentation (2.35:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of:

"Archer” Season One Pilot Episode
Season Five Blooper Reel
Kitten Mittens Endless Loop
“Phindin’ Love in Philly” featurette
Extended/Uncensored Scenes and Alternate Takes
Season Five Dream Sequence
