DVD Verdict: Ghost Hunters International (abbreviated as GHI) is a spin-off series of Ghost Hunters that airs on Syfy. The series first premiered on January 9th back in 2008 and like its parent series, GHI is a reality series. It follows a team of paranormal investigators; whereas, the original series primarily covered only locations within the United States, the GHI team travels around the world and documents some of the world's most legendary haunted locations.

In this GHI Season 2 Part 1, our fearless investigators explore an ancient castle in Czech Republic, an 18th Century prison in Ireland, the Palazzo Ducale in Italy and even a castle said to be constructed over a portal to Hell! I kid you not. With these and many other unique locations, the twisted discoveries come fast and furious, trust me. For these paranormal enthusiasts are not scared, don't even blink an eye when things don't exactly "make sense."

Indeed, if you didn't know already, these are some of the last episodes to feature lead investigator Robb Demarest. He left the series in late 2010 and it seemed that even though they replaced him with Ghost Hunter's Kris Williams, the team never had that same chemistry again. This series, much like Destination Truth, has gone through its fair share of cast members and these episodes are some of the last to feature a solid investigation team - to my mind, at least.

This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.77:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
