Overview: Lightning McQueen (voice by Owen Wilson), Mater (Larry the Cable Guy), Sally (Bonnie Hunt), and the rest of the gang from Radiator Springs return to the screen in this sequel to Pixar's Cars (2006). But instead of evoking a nostalgic vision of Route 66 through the American Southwest, director John Lasseter and his artists spoof James Bond films in a fast-paced adventure that mixes espionage and road racing.

Blu ray+DVD Verdict: In truth, the first 'Cars' movie was great in in the story and animation quality - but I honestly don't really like it that much! I know, crazy, right?! I put it with the same quality of 'Bolt' (Disney), 'How to Train Your Dragon' (Dreamworks), 'Madagascar' (Dreamworks), and 'Despicable Me' (Universal), but I personally prefer 'The Incredibles,' 'Monsters Inc.,' the 'Toy Story' series, 'Finding Nemo' (all Disney), the 'Shrek' series, 'Megamind' (Dreamworks), and the 'Ice Age' series (Sony/Fox).

Anyway, the second movie, 'Cars 2' is better than the first one if we are open-minded, and not too demanding that the movie should follow the same concept and atmosphere of the first one. It has a great story and deep messages such as friendship, loyalty, trust, etc. and it also has great Bond-like action sequences.

Now, I understand fully that some people don't like it for their reasons, such as too many "deaths" of cars re: the Radiator Spring characters, but again, we should still be able (with Disney's help) educate our children when they watch such things. Honestly, for me, this movie might fit better for the adult audiences than the yonger audiences, since the spy story, the scheme the bad guys plot, even some of the jokes are only going to be understood by adult audiences anyway! In truth, as kids will line-up and beg to watch this 'Cars 2,' the adults will have to explain to their little ones what's going on and why. So, prepare accordingly, parents!
