Title - 'Bad - 25th Anniversary Edition, Deluxe Edition'
Artist - Michael Jackson

As you all know by now, Bad was released in 1987. With the multi award-winning Thriller always being a tough act to follow, Bad is still to this day one of my most favorite albums to listen to. And yes, I mean 'album" and not CD, as I'm old school and love that old vinyl sound, sorry! Anyway, quite possibly being my favorite MJ album to date, there truly isn't a bad track, a filler, a studio piece o' fluff on this album - not one. Track after track - 'The Way You Make Me Feel,' 'Man In The Mirror,' 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You,' 'Dirty Diana,' 'Smooth Criminal,' and 'Leave Me Alone' and, of course 'Bad' - are just complete masterful gems to behold.

And now, some 25 years on (really?!) we get this magnificent 25th Anniversary Edition, Deluxe Edition! This incredible 4 disc box-set includes three (3) CDs, two collectible booklets, and even a DVD that features the first ever authorized release of a concert from the record breaking BAD tour! Indeed, it was Michael Jackson's legendary July 16th, 1988 concert at Wembley Stadium in London. And boy, what a show that was - and now is to behold, once again.

Breaking the box-set down, and CD1 is the original re-mastered album. CD2 contains previously-unreleased material recorded in Michael's personal studio at Hayvenhurst. This material includes early demo versions of songs from the album as well as demos for songs not included on the final album. Sometimes raw, sometimes not complete, but always MJ, it is here as it was back then - nothing has been added or changed. Also included on this disc are some new remixes from internationally renowned DJ/producers such as Nero, DJ Buddha and Afrojack.

CD3 is a wonderful showcase of the audio from the sound truck recordings of the July 16th Wembley performance. The first-ever live Michael Jackson CD to be released, this is the only concert from the BAD Tour known to exist on multitracks! 16 tracks start with 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' and 'This Place Hotel,' before firing through into 'Human Nature,' 'Smooth Criminal' and Dirty Diana,' before he brings it home with both 'Bad' and 'Man In The Mirror.'

DVD1, the fourth disc in the set is, as mentioned, the entire July 16th, 1988 concert at Wembley Stadium in London. But unlike the CD live recording of the same show, the DVD gives us 40, yes FORTY tracks to sit back and enjoy! Now, that said, and for some strange reason, the guys who put this together decided to inter-cut into this great London show another live concert track of MJ's from around the world! So we get all the London gig and then coming up towards the end we get two versions of 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You/Bad' (both live at Yokohama Stadium, September, 1988), and then 'The Way You Make Me Feel' - live At Wembley July 15th, 1988 ... the show BEFORE this magical one!

Anyway, in closing, sure we all know and LOVE the other essential albums he made - Off The Wall, Thriller, and even Dangerous, but Bad was probably one of the most captivating for a generation. And is still today, and especially now here in this 25th Anniversary Edition, Deluxe Edition a classic musical entity for anyone's collection to house.
