Title - 'Priority: Remastered' (BBM)
Artist - Pointer Sisters

One of the most important contributions The Pointer Sisters made to the world of female trios in their time was their ability to be diverse and somehow make it all sound as if it were one distinctive sound that was theirs. And manage to do it with just about every album.

Richard Perry kept that tradition going starting with the hard rocking Energy and then this wonderful album, Priority at the closing of the 70's.

Diving straight in and it's the driving beat of 'Who Do You Love' and 'All Your Love' that will have you singing along and bobbing your head. There are actually two tracks on here that I'd not heard before. I believe they were on the compilation Fire: The Very Best of The Pointer Sisters aka 'Dreaming As One' and '(She's Got)The Fever.'

Both are slow rock ballads with Anita taking the lead on 'Dreaming As One' and Ruth on '... Fever.' I now really like the song '(She's Got) The Fever' as Ruth sounds really good with her low voice growling through the song. A lot of friction and heat, singing about the restless desire she has for a guy and how it's keeping her up at night, LOL!

Indeed, both songs are great! Indeed, the album featured the writing talents of Ian Hunter (‘Who Do You Love’), Bob Seger (‘All Your Love’), Stealer’s Wheel (‘Blind Faith’), The Band (‘The Shape I’m In’) and The Rolling Stones (‘Happy’). So, how could it fail?

1. Who Do You Love
2. All Your Love
3. Dreaming as One
4. Turned Up Too Late
5. Happy
6. Blind Faith
7. Don't Let a Thief Steal into Your Heart
8. (She's Got) The Fever
9. The Shape I'm In

This new BBR release also features brand new interviews with Anita Pointer, Ruth Pointer, Richard Perry, Graham Parker and Richard Thompson. If you love the Pointer Sisters, or rock and soul mixed together, I strongly recommend you own this album.
