Comprised of instrumental guitar and progressive riffs, with guitar synth and acoustic guitar melodies abounding, Brown opens his new recording on the emotively layered title cut Wind of The Northern Light and the 70’s rock-imbibed beauty Ancient Highlands and they are backed by the edgy guitar work within Final Threshold, the free-flowing musical majesties of the ten minute Embers of an Ancient Age, before the soaring Fire & Fury is brought forth.
Along next is the euphoric stance of Chase The Sun and an 80’s rock vibe that pulses throughout Ride or Die and they are in turn backed seamlessly by the smooth breeze of Ocean Horizon, before we are gifted the mid-tempo rocker Fire of The Sun, the set rounding out on the propulsive rock of Red Fire Burning, coming to a close on the acoustically hued balladry of The Fading Sunlight.
