Title - Your Love Is My Home [CD]
Artist - Charlie Wood
For those unaware, Lush Life was Charlie Wood’s first effort at documenting his long experience performing the Great American Songbook and now here in 2026 comes his brand album, Your Love Is My Home, a soulful reflection on belonging, love, and identity.
Charlie Wood is a singer and keyboardist who covers all musical styles. As a Memphis TN native, he grew up immersed in jazz, blues, and old-school R&B soul. With a quick ear for melody as a child, his dad’s eclectic record collection soon became his favorite playground; later it would be his classroom – with faculty including Professors Mose Allison, Ray Charles, and Percy Mayfield.
Blending jazz, blues, and Southern soul with heartfelt lyrics, the Memphis-born, but UK-based artist channels decades of experience into songs that feel intimate and timeless.
With warm Hammond grooves and gospel-tinged vocals, this is Wood at his most personal.

Also available on black vinyl, which is my own personal choice of listening to music, this dutifully earnest new recording opens on the softly smooth A Timeless Place and an effortlessly engaging You Send Me, before we are gifted one of my own persona EC classics, the enthrallingly-covered Shipbuilding, the low slung and ambient Still Crazy After All These Years, before the gentle tones of Love Can’t Love Alone is brought forth.
Along next is the languishing beauty of Stardust (Album Edit) and a sweeping Love Is a Losing Game and they are in turn backed seamlessly by the decadent Home, the breathy, hushed tones of Willow, Weep for Me, coming to an all-too-soon close on an absolutely amazing rendition of Love.
