Title - Another World. Another Life. Another Time.
Artist - Captain Wilberforce
For those unaware, it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a power-pop fan in possession of a good record collection, must be in want of the latest Captain Wilberforce album.
And it is that same Leeds-based band, known for razor sharp songwriting, memorable hooks, insanely hummable melodies and overwhelming lack of modesty, who are dropping their 6th album, “Another World. Another Life. Another Time.” on February 20th, 2026.
It will, of course, be available across all streaming platforms, while digital downloads and physical CDs will be available directly via our Bandcamp page.
Following the 2020 release of their presciently titled “When the Dust Just Won’t Settle” album (while everyone was hunkering down to avoid the pandemic), they finally return with a new album full to the brim of what reviewers have called our instantly catchy tunes and crafted lyrics – primed and ready to engage fans of classic British songwriters like Costello, Difford and Tilbrook, Lennon and McCartney and Andy Partridge.
“Another World. Another Life. Another Time.” continues the Captain Wilberforce tradition of narrative: story-based songs about heartbreak and loss - “Dreaming Out Loud” and “Without Your Light”, but also commenting on the constantly evolving challenges of AI - “Four Words and the Enter Key” and the ‘interesting times’ we’re currently navigating - “The Installation”.
Previously, they were featured numerous times on BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 2, as well as radio stations across Europe and the USA and they are aiming to build on these foundations with the release of these 11 rather splendid new songs.

Along next is the ambiently drifting Can’t Get It Out of My Head and the melodiously crafted Without Your Light and they are in turn backed seamlessly by the measured storytelling that drives The Installation, the playful alt-rock of Christine, You’re a Drag, the set rounding out on the catchy hipsway of Sonny, coming to a close on an atmospherically-charged Lighter Shade of Blue.
