Title - Forged From Fire
Artist - Lisa LaRue

For those not in the know, Lisa LaRue is a progressive rock keyboardist and composer whose musical journey began in childhood when she first played “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” on a toy organ. A self-taught prodigy, she began performing publicly and creating both original music and album art from an early age, foreshadowing her future as a multidisciplinary artist.

Deeply influenced by bands such as Kansas, Yes, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Lisa’s passion for symphonic rock led her to collaborate with Gong’s Gilli Smyth on Dreamscapes, which was picked up by Voiceprint US Records, launching her recording career.

Her brand new album is entitled Forged from Fire and is a coming-of-(old)-age story. Autobiographical in nature, it reflects one facet of her life, both lyrically and musically, focusing on the keystone events, discoveries, questions, and answers that have shaped who she is today.

1. Phoenix Rising [2:44]
2. Traces In Spaces [4:53] (CD Only Bonus Track)
3. The Invisible Horizon [3:51]
4. Tornado Alley (feat Onur Cobanoglu & Alexandra Livshitz) [7:02]
5. They Were Young (Bubba & Snooks) [3:18]
6. Frame 313 [4:21]
7. White Hair and Chocolate (feat John Baker) [5:29]
8. Under Their Influence [7:36]
9. forged from fire (feat John Baker) [3:17]

This quite wondrous coming-of-(old)-age odyssey opens on the emotive Phoenix Rising and then we get the expansively vast Traces In Spaces, the veritably glistening CD-only bonus track The Invisible Horizon and the prog-tastic two-parter Tornado Alley (featuring Onur Cobanoglu & Alexandra Livshitz).

Along next is the organically cultured They Were Young (Bubba & Snooks) and the fluidly free flowing Frame 313 and they are in turn backed seamlessly by the rhythmically melodic White Hair and Chocolate (featuring John Baker), the set rounding out on the triumphantly sculptured Under Their Influence, closing on the emboldened title track forged from fire (featuring John Baker).
