Widely celebrated as a musical genius and legend by his peers, who hold him in the highest esteem, this child prodigy and virtuoso opens his new recording on the, at firs yearning, latterly confidently eager Darlene’s Wish and the atmospherically spirited Dancing Beauty and then beings us the three part Aberi Fantasy: Pt. 1 is a stoically charged, veritably Celtic in its make up track, whereas Pt. 2 is more propellently charged ride, with a divine hankering for achievement threaded throughout Pt. 3.
Along next is the two part piece Around The Corner, which begins with the spiritually emboldened Pt. 1 and culminates on the delightfully alacritous Pt. 2, the whole musical experience coming to an all too soon close on a radio edit of Darlene’s Wish.
L. Shankar also has an extensive tour schedule — he will be touring India from November to February, followed by tours in the United States, Europe, Australia. Says Shankar, “In between tours, I travel with a mobile studio, so I’m able to record wherever I am — I’m constantly on the move, creating and recording.”
