Title - Six Pieces of Horace
Artist - Guillaume Muller

For those not in the know, New York based guitarist Guillaume Muller has been actively performing and recording since moving to the city in 2016.

Guillaume released his debut album in the Fall 2019, entitled Sketches of Sound and his original music draws influence from bebop and hard bop but with its own twist. More recently Guillaume was also awarded the Q.C.A. New Work grant (2021) and has just released his brand new album entitled Six Pieces of Horace.

Guillaume holds a bachelor’s in composition from Berklee College of Music (2016) and a master’s in Jazz Studies from NYU (2019). As an educator, Guillaume has about a decade of experience teaching music private and group lessons in the U.S.

1. Juicy Lucy
2. Let’s Get To The Nitty Gritty
3. Strollin’
4. Peace/ Ecaroh
5. Doodlin’
6. St Vitus

This delightfully breezy, yet always grounded and sumptuously-crafted new recording opens on the playfully flirtatious Juicy Lucy and then brings us the fluidly unique Let’s Get To The Nitty Gritty, the more precisely-sculpted Strollin’, the delicately hued, at first, freely bouncy latterly Peace/ Ecaroh, the set rounding out on the lushly expansive Doodlin’ and closing on the blues-imbibed, reflectively impassioned St Vitus.
