After a 2014 that saw the release of their debut EP, How Do You Feel, buzz worthy festival appearances across the U.S., and their late night debut performance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, come mid-2015 and Joywave were back in a big way!

Rochester, New York’s Joywave consisted of members Daniel Armbruster (vocals), Joseph Morinelli (guitar), Sean Donnelly (bass), Benjamin Bailey (keyboards), and Paul Brenner (drums).

Initially, the band was best known for its collaboration with electronic music project Big Data, with their Dangerous peaking at #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

For the 10 year anniversary of Joywave’s debut album, How Do You Feel Now?, this RSD Edition includes the bonus track Life in a Bubble and more and is pressed on both Yellow and Blue vinyl.

Putting the first of the vinyl on the turntable, dropping the needle, this emotively raw, yet rhythmically melodious 10th Anniversary recording opens on the indie rock of Somebody New and then we get the electro pop of Carry Me and the rhythmic synth pop flow of Tongues.

Flipping the vinyl over we next get the alt pop rock of Destruction which is backed by the smooth ’80s alt synth guitar work that pushes Now, the record rounding out on the propulsive drum-led rocker Parade (Vinyl Version).

8. Feels Like a Lie
9. Traveling at the Speed of Light

Changing the vinyl over, the third side opens on the evocative electro synth pop of In Clover (Vinyl Version) and then we are brought forth the ambiently pop-smooth vibe within Feels Like a Lie and the melodiously fluctuating Traveling at the Speed of Light.

12. Life in a Bubble I Blew

Flipping the vinyl over, the fourth and sadly final side opens on the harmonious poptastic Nice House, before both the staggered, languishing beauty of Bad Dreams and the translucently absorbing gem of a bonus track Life in a Bubble I Blew bring the musical set to a close.
