For those unaware, the creative jazz singer-lyricist Melissa Kassel is showcased on the brand new album Moments, a set of ten of her memorable originals.

Melissa Kassel has received accolades from audiences and critics alike for her unique vocal range and style. While her debut album “Live at the Acton Jazz Café” showcased several original tunes accompanied by renditions of well known jazz standards, Moments features all original works composed by Tom Zicarelli with lyrics by Melissa.

Both Tom and Melissa have enjoyed a successful musical relationship that dates back to the1980’s. They built notoriety playing at a variety of venues in the Boston area – but not only with audiences - their music attracted many of the best musicians in Boston who regularly perform with them.

The Melissa Kassel &Tom Zicarelli Group encompasses years of collaboration with Phil Grenadier (trumpet – Freddy Hubbard, Ella Fitzgerald), Gary Fieldman (drums), and Bruce Gertz (Bass – Joe Lovano, John Scofield) to produce this new sampling of original compositions.
