Title - [TEST] The Curse of Torch Lake
Artist -
November 8th, 2024 Chapter 1 The Day After The night was chilly and damp, carrying a scent as if it had perished days before. Amber couldn’t help but think there was some truth to that feeling, considering her boyfriend had been killed within that same period, and to add insult to injury, she had lost her job as well.

As she walked down the solitary path, feelings of loneliness, sadness, and bewilderment washed over her. She became aware of the morning dew dampening her hair, face, and layered coat. The realization hit her that she was unsure of where the path would lead, let alone the direction of her life, yet she persisted forward.

Had it all been a dream, or perhaps a nightmare? Was she still dreaming, not truly walking down this path, not really feeling the dew starting to form on her brow, now slowly trickling down her nose?

No, it was not a dream. She had indeed witnessed what she could now only describe in hindsight as the most shocking sight she had ever seen. It made no sense, which was why she was attempting to deny it, but deep down, she knew it had to have occurred... didn’t it?
