Title - Horizons
Artist - Bliss Bliss

Although the release of their newest album Horizons was delayed, (brought to a screeching halt at several points by all the rigamarole of covid shutdowns), it is no less potent and carries no less, the complexion and almost defiant, spirit of hope for the times and for their audience.

“We realized at some point through all the years of us doing this crazy thing called music, that the lyrics in our songs turned out to be about the very things we were dealing with ourselves,” Renee Bliss explains.

“For instance Fight For Peace, from our first record, was one of them. And so many of the songs from Horizons have been that as well.”

1. Your Numbers Up (5:03)
2. Do or Die (5:04)
3. Searching For (4:55)
4. Drive (4:36)
5. Talking Through Fences (4:25)
6. What’s Going On (4:43)
7. Crimson Love (5:21)

This quite stunning new musical recording opens on the propulsively grooved Your Numbers Up and the R&B-pop of Do or Die and then comes the joyfully ambient Searching For.

Along next is the sunshine-hued affair Drive and the funky R&B of Talking Through Fences, the album rounding out on their free flowing rendition of Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On, closing on the delightfully euphonious Crimson Love.

Whether it’s in a club, on a festival stage, at a church or even in a prison, their songs and messages have always been aimed at entertaining, inspiring, encouraging and bringing restoration to all who will listen. 2023 represents the continuance of stories, messages, and art, as well as, the beginning of new HORIZONS for Bliss Bliss.
