Michelle Lordi’s brand new album Two Moons explores the themes of transformation and resilience in the face of apocalyptic dreams and chaotic times.

The acoustic ambiance of Two Moons, Lordi’s fourth leader album, diverges from its well-reviewed, plugged in predecessor, the 2019 album Break Up With The Sound, and instead administers three original songs and text with five choice, less-travelled covers culled from various corners of the Songbook and Americana cannons.

This brilliantly immersive new recording opens on the quietly, softly spoken Both and the ornately elegant Blue Moon and then we get a breathy Never Break, the veritably cinematic Only Love Can Break Your Heart, and the instrumental Close Your Eyes (intro), which, of course, bleeds seamlessly into the lushly ornate Close Your Eyes.

Up next is the ethereal Haunted Heart and the translucent gossamer found within Scare The Ghost, the recording rounding out on the tailored Moon And Sand, coming to a decadent close on the luxurious feel of Sailor And The Sea.
