Title - (Itís A) Monstersí Holiday: Reissue
Artist - Buck Owens & The Buckaroos

For those unaware, throughout Omnivore Recordings 12-year relationship with the Buck Owens Private Foundation, one request from the fans was clear and consistentóto make Bucks late-í60s/early-í70s releases available again as stand-alone reissues.

Omnivore is proud to answer that call and announce 9 titles to be released throughout the summer and fall of 2021.

Starting August 6th, Omnivore will put out these 9 albums, offered as standalone reissues. Each drop will consist of three albums: Sweet Rosie Jones, Iíve Got You on My Mind Again and Tall Dark Stranger, then on August 27th, they will release Your Motherís Prayer, The Kansas City Song and I Wouldnít Live in New York City, and then finally come October 1st, they will put out In the Palm of Your Hand, Ainít It Amazing, Gracie and (Itís a) Monsters Holiday.

The albums will be released as they were originally issued and for the first time, appear in their original configuration on CD and Digital, mastered from the original analog tapes, and with expanded artwork & new liner notes.

1974 gave Buck Owens and His Buckaroos their 23rd top 10 country album with (Itís A) Monsterís Holiday. The title track would peak at #6 on the singles chart, and it features On The Cover Of The Music City News, a re-write of Shel Silversteinís Cover Of The Rolling Stone, adapted by Owens and Jim Shaw.

Now, nearly four decades later, the classic album returnsóremastered by Grammyģ-winner Michael Graves, Produced for release by Grammyģ-winner Cheryl Pawelski, and featuring expanded artwork including new liner notes from author Randy Poe (Buck ĎEm! The Autobiography Of Buck Owens).

1. (ITíS A) MONSTERíS HOLIDAY
2. AMAZING LOVE
3. ON THE COVER OF THE MUSIC CITY NEWS
4. I LOVE
5. STONY MOUNTAIN WEST VIRGINIA
6. MEANWHILE BACK AT THE RANCH
7. YOUíRE GONNA LOVE YOURSELF IN THE MORNING
8. KISS AN ANGEL GOOD MORNINí
9. GREAT EXPECTATIONS
10. PASS ME BY (IF YOUíRE ONLY PASSING THROUGH)

This abundantly rhythmic, vibrantly melodic, and wholly beautiful album (which only has the one track that is Halloween-related) opens on that very same title track, the hop/skip, hauntingly-inspired (Itís A) Monsterís Holiday and the beautiful ballad Amazing Love, following those seamlessly with the aforementioned hand-clapping parody of Shel Silversteinís Cover Of The Rolling Stone, here known as On The Cover Of The Music City News, the lush I Love and then comes the upbeat and joyous Stony Mountain West Virginia.

Up next is the contagious foot-tapper Meanwhile Back at the Ranch and the stunning balladry of Youíre Gonna Love Yourself in the Morning, which is in turn followed by the soulfully euphonic Kiss an Angel Good Morniní, the album rounding out on the yearning storytelling of Great Expectations, closing on country twang of Pass Me By (If Youíre Only Passing Through).

Available for the first time since its original album release and for the first time on stand-alone CD and Digital formats. The reissue of these latter-day Buck Owens And His Buckaroos albums is a cause for celebration!
