Title - 'Secret'
Artist - Classix Nouveaux

Classix Nouveaux were an English 1980's New Wave band. In their homeland of the UK, the band had various Top 50 successes, but only one Top 20 hit with 'Is It A Dream,' which peaked at #11 on the UK Singles Chart in April 1982. Funnily enough, they still managed number one hits in Poland, Portugal, Yugoslavia, Israel, Iceland, and other countries.

If you cannot remember them, Classix Nouveaux - Sal Solo (vocals), Mik Sweeney (bass), BP Hurding (drums), and Jak Airport (guitar) - had a dramatic stage appearance and their band members wore a lot of make-up. As part of the New Wave / New Romantic movement, they started gaining popularity alongside bands such as Visage, Ultravox and Japan.

But, as their chart appearances began to wain, they brought out what would ultimately be their third and final Classix Nouveaux album, Secret. Originally released in 1983, and produced by Alex Sadkin, Cherry Red have brought it back to life on CD for the first time ever!

Here it has just been remastered for its debut CD, no extras can be found. And so all we get is the original 9-track album: 'All Around The World,' 'Manitou,' 'Heart From The Start,' 'The Fire Inside,' 'Forever And A Day,' 'Never Never Comes,' 'The Unloved' and then both 'When They Have All Gone' and 'No Other Way.'

Not really much to say here about it, as it truly wasn't that good. But, if you are from overseas, well, this album is most likely to be the one you rememember them for! Especially those from Poland as it spawned big chart hits such as both 'Never Never Comes' and 'Heart From The Start.'
