On her sultry and soulful debut EP What We Had (2018), Rebecca Angel drew from a fresh whirlwind of classic and contemporary influences.

Here on her new single, a cover of the Christmas classic 'Santa Baby' (originally recorded in 1953 by the late Eartha Kitt, and out November 29th, 2019), the emerging NYC-based singer brings forth a lush, emotive, and joyous rendition of a song that will put a smile on the faces, and a glow in the hearts of all those that hear it.

Not striving to alter it, not aiming to remodel it, Rebecca simply envelopes it within the soft, luxurious confines of smooth jazz, whilst at the same time allowing her sultry vocals to pour honey over each and every lyric.

With a background that includes a Vocal Jazz Degree from Ithaca College, Rebecca most certainly knows her way around a jazz track and collaborating here with a very cohesive ensemble (not least her father, Dennis, on Flugelhorn), she presents a renowned holiday song for a whole new generation to fall in love with.

'Santa Baby' is scheduled to be released on November 29th, 2019 on Timeless Groove Records.
