Title - 'WhoCares' (Armoury Records)
Artist - Ian Gillan & Tony Iommi

Ian Gillan and Tony Iommi took everybody by surprise in 2011 by releasing a charity single: 'Out Of My Mind,' renewing the collaboration that led the pair recording the Black Sabbath album Born Again in 1984. Also included were Jason Newsted (Metallica), the late Jon Lord, Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden) and Linde Lindstram (HIM) supporting the two rock legends. Not only jamming together for the fun of things, this new project has united for a cause - rebuilding and helping the music school in Gyumari, Armenia.

And so now Iommi and Gillan have now decided to make Who Cares an album for their devoted fans. Who Cares features classic songs, rarities and unreleased material on two CDs of fantastic rare music.

The first disc kicks-off with the pounding musical opera 'Out Of My Mind' (WhoCares, which features Gillan, Iommi, Jason Newsted, the late Jon Lord and Nicko McBrain), before heading into Black Sabbath's 'Zero To Hero.' Complete with an incredible guitar solo from Iommi, we then move into the bullet-train sounds of 'Trashed' (Gillan featuring Iommi, Ian Paice and Roger Glover), before the first-time-on-a-Gillan CD track; the Eastern flavored 'Get Away' (M. Rakintzis featuring Gillan). Easily the best track on the album, it stands out all alone in its creativity and shows Gillan at his left-of-rock musical best.

The heavy returns for 'Slip Away,' a rare track it shows off Iommi's guitar playing and contains vocals from the great Glenn Hughes. Up next is Gillan's gong-intro'd ballad 'Don't Hold Me Back,' which is followed by his limited edition 7" vinyl B-side, and first time on CD 'She Thinks It's A Crime.' The first disc rounds out with 'Easy Come, Easy Go' (Repo Depo featuring Gillan) and then a Deep Purple live cut (with the London Symphony Orchestra) featuring the late Ronnie James Dio on 'Smoke On The Water.'

The second disc starts with another Eastern-flavored track, the beautiful 'Holy Water.' A new cut from WhoCares, it features Gillan, Iommi, Jason Newsted, Nicko McBrain and is on CD for the first time. Black Sabbath's religious 'Anno Mundi' is next, with both 'Let It Down Easy' (Iommi featuring Glenn Hughes) and Gillan's light-pop 'Hole In My Vest' (another 7" vinyl B-side, and first time on CD) following thereafter.

The blues-infused piano of 'Can't Believe You Wanna Leave Me,' which is Gillan featuring Roger Glover and Dr. John is next, with Ian Gillan & The Javelins' roaring cover of Marvin Gaye's 1963 smash 'Can I Get A Witness' along next. Bringing the double-disc to a close are 'No Laughing In Heaven' (Garth Rockett & The Moonshiners aka Ian Gillan; and a rare live track from a now-deleted CD), Ian Gillan's personally-intro'd ballad 'When A Blind Man Cries' (recorded live at Absolute Radio, and previously unreleased), and finally 'Dick Pimple' - a previously unreleased studio jam from Deep Purple!
