No Place Like Bklyn is the Reggaeton inspired debut album recorded by Puerto Rican-American singer Jeannie Ortega. The album was just released on Hollywood Records on August 1 and features the soon-to-be singles "It's R Time," "So Done," and the new hit "Crowded." I listened to this album a few weeks ago and as I have to review it, well, let's just say that I honestly couldn't get into it. Don't get me wrong, it's straight up pop with just a little bit of R&B and Hip-Hop mixed into it. So, it's all good there. But all the tracks are not really memorable and kinda sound like each other come the end. Sure Jeannie can carry a tune, but she doesn't have a strong enough voice or presence to be that extra special entity in this cut-throat business yet ... to my humble mind, anyway!
