Title - 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' (Vinyl)
Artist - Kevin Kiner

"I don't ever want to be, like, Mini-Me John Williams. I don't think there's any composer—film composer or composer on earth—who's as good as him. I'm always looking at what he does and listening to what he does and finding little tricks, but I have to put my own voice to it." - Kevin Kiner.

The 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' soundtrack album was released on August 12th, 2008 and featured over 67 minutes of Kevin Kiner's score from the film, performed by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The soundtrack also begins with the main theme by John Williams, the man who he replaced at the helm; hence his statement above.

This brand new black vinyl Star Wars: The Clone Wars original soundtrack, just released this past December 9th, 2014 via Walt Disney Records, features 21 tracks from seasons one through six with all the music composed by the aforementioned Kiner. The vinyl edition also includes a bonus digital album download and is available now in all good record stores (remember them?!).

Just as The Clone Wars is geared toward younger audiences than the previous films, the soundtrack is considered lighter than the previous scores by John Williams. The soundtrack uses many instruments never heard before in a Star Wars score, including synthesizers, electric guitars, erhus, duduks, ouds and taikos.

Kevin Kiner is the Emmy-nominated composer for films and TV including 'Star Wars Rebels,' 'Jane the Virgin,' 'Madison,' 'Wing Commander,' 'Hell On Wheels,' and 'CSI: Miami.'

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a 3D CGI animated TV series created by George Lucas and produced by Lucasfilm Animation with the division Lucasfilm Animation Singapore, Lucasfilm and CGCG Inc. The series debuted on the Cartoon Network on October 3rd, 2008 and is set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy during the same time period (the three years between the prequel films Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith) as the previous 2D 2003 TV series Star Wars: Clone Wars.
