And She Lived Happily Ever After
By: Deborah Durbin / O-Books / $16.95

Overview: And She Lived Happily Ever After is an inspirational and motivational book for women, reminding them that they are in charge of their happy-ever-afterness and that they don’t have to adhere to societal rules and regulations if they don’t wish to.

Verdict: Inside the pages of And She Lived Happily Ever After: Because every woman deserves a happy ever after!, author Deborah Durbin covers more than thirty life tips and reminders, including building your own world profile, why it’s important to wait 24 hours before reacting, why it’s so important to surround yourself with radiators and not drains, and many more life lessons Durbin has learned over the years.

Furthermore, all these lessons are short and to the point and written in a style whereby the reader can dip in and out for a life lesson when it suits them.

The result of years of Durbin observing people, questioning societal rules and generally ranting about a lot of stuff she feels is unfair for women, And She Lived Happily Ever After’s various short chapters include such titles as Why We Should Wait 24 Hours, Radiators and Drains, Judging and Jumping, None of us is Immortal ..., Always Be Curious ..., Give Yourself Permission to be Happy ..., Forgive, But Don’t Forget, Act As If, Build Your Tribe, (Don’t) Act Your Age, and amongst others, both You Are Enough and Thank You!

Created also as a huge thank you to all the brave and inspiring women who have stood up and said, Nah, I’m not having that!, but just a few pages in, and this male reviewer quickly realized that just because it is aimed towards women, doesn’t mean that men cannot glean from its veritable treasure trove of wisdom!

In closing, and as much as it only takes one voice to create changes and enable women to live their happy ever after, Durbin hopes that by writing the book that every woman will realize that she has every right to be heard. She has every right to ask questions. She has every right to be seen as equal and she has every right to, as aforementioned, live (and love) happily ever after.

About the Author - Deborah Durbin has over 20 years’ experience working in print media for national magazines and newspapers as a freelance journalist and feature writer. She writes regularly for all the MBS magazine titles, Chat it’s Fate, Take a Break, and other UK & US magazines. She lives in Somerset, UK.
