'Wimbledon'
(Kirsten Dunst, Paul Bettany, Jon Favreau / PG-13 / 98 mins / Universal)

Overview: A mediocre tennis veteran (Paul Bettany) gets one last shot to play at Wimbledon … and win the heart of a rising young tennis star (Kirsten Dunst).

Verdict: To be quite frank (and perhaps even slightly brutal!), 'Wimbledon' is nothing more than amiable fluff, yet Bettany infuses it with a brazen dash of reality. For the most part, the warmth between the two leads is always evident, but the only thing that makes this simple romance a little different is the gracious Wimbledon setting and the inherent one-on-one drama of tennis. Likable, formulaic and ultra-predictable if essentially painless, 'Wimbledon' exceeds meager expectations.
