Ghost Canyon

Dinogeist [DVD]
(Deborah Jayne Reilly Smith, Jay Macaulay, John Migliore, Luke Meneok, et al / DVD / NR / 2026 / Wild Eye Releasing)

Overview: Dinogeist unleashes prehistoric terror with a supernatural twist in this outrageous blend of creature feature and ghost story from cult director John Migliore (Ouija Shark, Creature From Cannibal Creek).

When a ruthless land developer disturbs sacred ground in pursuit of profit, he unknowingly awakens a horde of ghostly dinosaurs - translucent, bone-chilling specters from prehistory that descend upon a quiet suburban neighborhood.

Packed with bonus features including director’s commentary, behind-the-scenes footage, deleted scenes, and even a Dino Dance music video, this Wild Eye Releasing edition celebrates low-budget monster moviemaking at its most delightfully unhinged!

DVD Verdict: As the spectral beasts wreak havoc, a small group of unlikely heroes must uncover the dark origins of the curse and find a way to stop the rampage before humanity becomes extinct all over again.

Part tongue-in-cheek horror, part gonzo action adventure, Dinogeist embraces its B-movie DNA with practical effects, spirited performances, and a dose of madcap humor that recalls cult favorites like Tammy and the T-Rex and Carnosaur.

As for the CGI and script, well, they are both as you would have expected them to be for they are as high quality low budget as one could ever hope to see; and that is all a good thing. The dino-ghosts themselves are laughably OTT, just people in green Halloween costumes, but as ridiculous as they look, together with the sometimes stilted, yet most times black comedy script, it all comes neatly together to provide a wonderful nights entertainment.

From the mind that gave us Sharkula and Ouija Shark comes another absurd, effects-driven spectacle where the Jurassic meets the paranormal - and extinction comes back with a vengeance.
